To access the dialog box, double-click on an existing field or click the All Properties link after a new field is created. Properties can be set for any field and vary depending on the form field type.

Properties are organized in a series of tabs. All form field types consistently have these three tabs – General, Appearance, and Actions. Other fields have tabs unique to specific types of form fields. Most form fields have an Options tab, but the options available will vary based on the type of form field.

The FIELDS formatting panel on the right of the screen gives you controls for arranging fields on a page, such as aligning and distributing. It also contains menus for setting additional operations, such as managing form data and setting a tabbing order. The following screenshot shows the menu locations in the panel.
